Mumbai: Digvijay Purohit, who is seen in Sargun Mehta and Ravie Dubey’s Tuu Juliet Jatt Di, which is produced under their banner Dreamiyata Entertainment, feels that an actor should be adaptable because TV shows run on new twists, and an actor should be able to keep up with it.
He said, “TV works like that. In my 20 years of career, I have seen many ups and downs, shocking, and surprising elements of every kind. It is very important for you to be adaptable; you cannot be rigid and say, ‘This is not my character’ or ‘I cannot do this’ because that is the demand; television works in this way.”
“In film and web, you have a bound script, so there is a character graph and everything, but TV sometimes runs for months or years. You have to stay ready in that because of ratings; when it is running, you have to serve the audience in that way, and over such a long time, many shades and many ups and downs come, so adaptability is very important,” he added.
Asked what sort of twists he enjoys performing, he said, “If I get to do a good scene, then I am happy. It is also about getting to do something different from the character that is currently going on, where I have to put in a little effort because that is not my character.”

“That is exciting for me, and if things come to me in a different shade that I haven’t shown in the story yet, I like it because I have a variety of different things to do, which is more exciting than what I have done so far,” he added.
What’s next in the show? “Heer’s life is going to have many ups, downs, and problems, and how she will face them. As you said, many turns and twists are going to come because the creatives are also involved in how we take it forward. There is a broader storyline, but for the turns and twists, they try their best,” he shared.
“The upcoming episodes are going to be very interesting, and the audience is going to enjoy them a lot. Even now, the audience is liking the turns and twists a lot. I am hoping the upcoming turns and twists will be very interesting,” Digvijay ended.
